The area today

This farm was one of many,
Just another Heathen trade,
The cows were used for dairy
And here the cream was made.
The farm girl on her cycle,
With a bucket on each arm,
Would sell the milk to locals
Who would buy it from the farm.

Roberts Farm was originally part of the older Sedgmoor Farm. It was one of the last farms in Flackwell Heath to disappear under housing. It provided milk for local folk and Mrs Merryweather, senior, used to deliver the milk on her bicycle. It was also a cherry growing area as the names of the roads now testify.
