As a nipper I used to work on Roberts Farm and I delivered milk from there. Two Roberts brothers used to work on the farm, Edgar and Arthur and their old mum lived in
the cottage. They had a model dairy there and it was tiled and really good. They used to have the cattle in the fields round here. It employed about six or seven people
and they had two massive milk rounds. I used to work in the dairy and helped to bottle the milk up and deliver it on my bike. I didn’t milk the cows though, they had a
dairy man for that.
