Archlee Terrace (picture from SWOP website) | Family tree |
William Hills moved to Flackwell Heath after he had met, and married, Ellen L Smith. Their son Norman also lived in the
same Archlee Terrace home after he had met and married his wife Verena Mullins and here they had their two young children before moving to Fennels Way.
William came from Sussex and his brother George also fought in WW1 and died from his injuries in 1921. Their distant cousin Charles Hills was killed at the
Somme. All three men are remembered on the Burpham War Memorial.
Do Hills descendants still live in the village today?
