The Lewis family suffered more than the loss of son James but also the loss of their two daughters-in-law, sisters Louisa and Daisy nee Weedon in 1914. They had married James's two brothers William and Herbert. The likely cause of both girls' deaths was TB. Thier brother George Weedon is also on the War memorial.
