I worked so long and hard for this
And hoped retirement would be bliss
But my two sons have made me fear
That things might not be well down here.
I hope that Fred will intervene

His sparring siblings if he can

I know that competition's strong,
Perhaps our market's now all wrong,
But Birch's, Gomme and Glenister
Are simply firms just like we were,
We need to have their magic touch,
Now is that asking way too much?

Charles Edwin was the son of Walter and Ellen Skull (neé Foster). When he retired he left the Skull company in the hands of his two younger sons, Percy and Charles, who did not see eye to eye.  Their squabbling cost the firm's downfall.
