Old Stephensons, on corner here,
A handy site both front and rear,
For you could see it as you came
Via London Road to catch the train
Or, if you lived in Station Road,
A minute's walk from your abode.
A basketful bought every day,
In the good old fashioned way,
Meant your food was fresh, you see,
Before refridgerators came to be.

Stephensons stores was situated on the corner of Station Road and the London Road so held an ideal position for catching passing trade.
