All neatly built within a row
(No doubt for workers in the mills)
Make cosy cottage homes here still,
And though the mills are now no more
What history lies behind each door!

One of the older terraces in the area today. Probably built as mill workers cottages for the men and women who worked in the paper mills which were numerous at this time. St Ann's Court, which was built in 1984, sits beside them on one side and a modern terrace now sits on their other side.
