The site today


Kings Mill, upon the river's bend
On what was marshy land,
Is now the site of offices
Where the Biffa Depot stands.
A little bridge then crossed the Wye
No lorry entrance then,
And everybody walked to work,
All women, children, men.

Kings Mill was once a prominent paper mill on the Wye, where the river meandered off its course. The road and the river here were later straightened.
