Beech Mill, along near Wycombe Marsh
Provided work, though tough and harsh,
But if you were both fit and willing
Paper work gave you a living.

And situated by the ford
Just beside Loudwater's ward
This mill, long gone from memory,
Was part of how we used to be.

Beech Mill is largely forgotten now but once stood along Beech Road - by the ford to Wycombe Marsh from Kingsmead Road. The boundary between Loudwater and Wycombe Marsh is somewhat unclear at this time but there is no doubt that the mill would have provided work for Loudwater men and women.
