Bay Tree Cottage, family home,
Remembered now in photo shown,
Sadly met a swift demise
As newer rooftops graced the skies.
Its gardens, now a luxury,
Show us how things used to be.

Bay Tree Cottage was the home of the Saunders family. It was also a shop at one time and a popular place to buy sweets. It was demolished to make way for Bay Tree Close.
