Alfred Oakley was a tailor and the son of Alfred Oakley, also a Wycombe tailor.
(His nephew, another Alfred Oakley became a sculptor of some reknown.
Some of his work is in the Wycombe Museum).
After Alfred Oakley died his wife Priscilla née Atkins ran a fancy goods shop at 10
Church Street. She later became the second wife of
Walter Skull, chair manufacturer. Before Priscilla married Alfred she worked as a housekeeper
for the elderly papermaker Thomas Edmonds.
She is buried with her first husband and next to her own family plot.
