The pub as it looks today


This pub, with such a lucky sign,
(Nicknamed the Tips) is mighty fine,
It's quenched the thirst of locals here
And golfers too, for many years.
Just like The Stag its small and neat,
A welcome place to take a seat,
And you may conjure, in your head,
The scenes of older times instead
When farm boys drove the dairy cows
Past meadows which are houses now.

The Three Horseshoes was a popular drinking spot for visitors to the village. Elderly locals referred to it as the Tips at one time. It was also 'home' to the Artisan's Golfing Society of Flackwell Heath from 1920 to 1926.
