Eggs, free range, the nicest kind
Were always here I think you’ll find,
For every farmer kept some hens
And rarely were they put in pens.
A hen house kept them safe from prey
And this is where they’d sit and lay,
Fresh eggs from hens on Chiltern Hills
Kept hardy locals free from ills.

New Farm is just on the boundary of Flackwell Heath but the farmland surrounding the farm scrapes onto this map by a whisker. It was a popular place to buy eggs on your way to and from the village and the footpath to Heath End is a lovely stroll when you want to visit the Crooked Billet, Little Marlow or the river beyond.
