Beckings Way today


There used to be a house here,
Little Beckings was its name,
And though the place name lingers
Nothing else remains the same.

‘Twas here the Bird folk nested
When all their eggs had hatched,
Then every little fledgling
Flew away to make a match.

Little Beckings was a family home with a large garden and the plot later became part of Beckings Way. The Bird family (from Wycombe) lived there after the war and they also lived at the end of Fennels Way at one time too.
