Three brothers ran the store here,
They did a roaring trade,
Selling you ingredients
For everything homemade.

Butcher, baker, grocer,
These men sold all they could,
And now new shops remind us
Of where their store once stood.

But things you thought expensive
You tried to grow at home
And people did their best to hoe
A plot of Flackwell loam.

Jennings was run by the three Jennings brothers and it was part butcher, part baker, part grocer. It later became the post office, too, and was taken over by Jack Luttman until he, in turn, retired.
