My Now is in a glint of sun, shiny, bright and new,
My youth is in a rock pool winking back at you,
My past is in the pebbles washed up by the sea,
My present is a cloudless sky, a little gift from me.

My kiss is in the salty spray that tingles on your face,
My touch is in sea breezes that brush your skin like lace,
My voice is in the water now lapping at your feet,
My cry is with the sea gulls when I hear you weep.

My heart is in the rollers which crash towards the shore,
My pulse is in the memories of seaside, dale and moor,
My life is just a grain of sand, blown across the beach
But my love is in the air you breathe and never out of reach.
