Wye is for Wycombe

Welcome to High Wycombe
And my website of the town
Where you can see who lived here
Both up the hills and down,
My ancestors are waiting
To talk about their lives,
Fathers, mothers, siblings,
Cousins, husbands, wives,
All of them once lived here
Or worked within this vale
And each of them will tell you
A true High Wycombe tale,
So choose a map to visit
Then click upon the dot
And call on all the people
Until you've met the lot.

There is no map of Wycombe now,

I've had to make a solemn vow
To all the cousins who still live
That their address I will not give,
But now, three generations on,
The names live on in sons of sons
(Daughters with a married name
Still carry genes though, just the same),
And many live not far from town
Or in the Chilterns all around
So if you find you have a  link
Then contact me with what you think.

My thanks to the SWOP website for allowing me to link to their photographs and to the Bucks Family History Society for their extensive records.
On each page, the generations are colour coded as follows: First generation listed - Black, second - Red, third - Blue, fourth - Green,
fifth - Orange, sixth - Purple
